Only 15 sleeps till OzManouche IX – and counting!
Sunday morning’s concert features Mal Ver Le Bop, a local group who take some TV and film tunes and put them through the Manouchifier – catch them to find out what comes out! Then we’ll be treated to a tasty slice of musical virtuosity from Cam Ford and his trio, featuring the inimitable Peter Walters on bass.
Following the concert, musicians will be djamming on the deck.
Opening Sunday night’s concert are Ultrafox from Melbourne. Fine musicians, wonderful people, great repertoire – their latest album Les Bruit des Cabarets raises the bar high in Australian Gypsy Jazz.
Following them will be Feel the Manouche, George Washingmachine’s latest assemblage of musicians, including his sons Jerry and Arthur, and Clare O’Meara on accordion. George is always entertaining, and this promises to be a great festival finale.
Sunday is going to be another great festival experience, and don’t forget that the musicians will djam on after the last set.
All the musicians playing at OzManouche share a love for the fiery romance that is Jazz Manouche.
