September Programme & Special Guests

September 2 – Special Guests – The JAM (8:30pm – 9:10pm).  John Groome(vocals/guitar), Alison Mackenzie (vocals/mandolin) and Michael Bourne (vocals/guitar) have come together in an excellent new Country Combo. Well-known to Red Hill Folk audiences in various other formats, they love to play music and sing together and can often be found having a ridiculous amount of fun jamming with friends at music gatherings. Their material spans traditional folk through to contemporary alternative country. Tonight they’ll be joined by special guest Kay Armstrong on double bass.

September 9 – Full Blackboard.

September 16 – Featuring Dave Martyn (8:30pm – 9pm). A master of the old style country blues and the instruments they were played on, Dave is a refugee from Dirt Music bands … but now prefers his own space and freedom to play whatever takes his fancy. A recent comment: ‘Brilliant … like listening to an old 45 record!’ (Younger readers, ask your parents! Or grandparents!)

September 23 – Full Blackboard.

September 30 – Full Blackboard.

Every night at Red Hill Folk is packed with talent from our many fine regular and guest performers.

If you plan to perform, please arrive early!
