BERARDI/FORAN/KARLEN – ‘Hope in my pocket’ – Album Launch
‘Hope in my pocket’ is the new album from celebrated Australian musicians Sean Foran, Rafael Karlen and Kristin Berardi. Drawing on content from ANZAC letters, this suite of music explore themes of hope, fear, seperation, loss, love, and conditions of war. Sounds of jazz, folk and classical music combine in a way that is intensely intimate and moving, with Berardi’s sublime vocal sounds melding with the melodic contours of the piano and saxophone in a captivating way.

She is probably the finest jazz singer Australia has produced…’ SMH ‘The balance between composition and improvisation gives the ear a bit of structure to rely upon while keeping on its toes.
