Hello there … it’s nearly “Strummers” Time Again – the next show will be live and happening on Sunday May 1st at the Irish Club Hotel, Toowoomba, from 2pm to 5pm with a flippin’ good little lineup …
3 Miles from Texas : long term, highly respected Brisbane musicians Tony Mockeridge (guitar, vocals) andRobbie Stewart (guitars and lots of string things), are the backbone of 3MFT and they love to create music sharing an emotional and cultural resonance with their audience. Their fabulous original songs cover topics as diverse as teenage angst, cricket, the beach, refugees and the endless intrigue of love. It’s the Texas on the Queensland border that gave them their name.
Brett Rostron : long lost cousin of Queensland folk legend Ryk Rostron, Brett had a previous life as a highly accomplished, hard working solo performer in the late 80’s and into the 90’s. In recent years he has become an “accidental” song writer after discovering the details of an amazing family history which inspired him to write his debut album “Secrets of Eremeran” which has gained critical acclaim in the UK and Australia. Brett will bring the “Secrets” and some other classics to his “Strummers” performance.
Jeff Burton: Jeff is a man who definitely “flies under the radar”. Jeff lives in Toowoomba but has a large, worldwide audience on “Youtube” for his many great original songs and his tutorials on guitar and ukulele. A highly accomplished musician with a great voice, Jeff has recently released a new
album which he would love to sign for you to take home. Also plays some banjo for fun …
Good meals are available at the Irish Club from 12pm till 2pm. Tea, coffee and drinks as well.
