The Musos for February

The Glasshouse Musos are on this Sunday, February 5 at Eudlo from 1 – 4pm, and will continue on the first Sunday of the month throughout the year at Eudlo Hall.

And we will be back at Beerwah Hotel Tuesday, February 14 from 7 – 10pm. (We are there the second Tuesday of the month.)

On Tuesday January 10 we were at Beerwah for our first session of 2017. The attendance was excellent and the board was full. We used our Blackbird Line Array PA for the first time and all were impressed with the vocal clarity and wide dispersion of the sound.

Regular performers Ian B MacLeod, John Bolton (setting a new dress standard for the Musos in his fine suit), Robbie G, Doug Pullen, Deni Chapple, Kevin, and Carolyn, Glenn Major, Denis Green, Chris Pickering, Neil Hamilton, John High and Tommy D were all in good form. And Gary and Corey Josland surprised us with a hit from the 70s. No, not a song, but an effect. Cory featured the Talk Box in one of their songs. (Some of you will remember it used by Peter Frampton and Joe Walsh, amongst many others, back in those days.) With a tube in his mouth Corey used his voice to manipulate the tone his guitar was making. It was all done expertly and took some of us back to those heady times. Thanks Corey.

Hoping to see you at one of our up-coming sessions.

Cheers

Michael
